Favorite Quote of the Week!!

"I'm part of the fellowship of the unashamed. The die has been cast. I have stepped over the line. the decision has been made. I'm a disciple of His. I won't look back, let up, slow down, back away or be still.

My past is redeemed, my present makes sense, my future is secure. I'm finished and done with low living, sight walking, small planning, smooth knees, colorless dreams, tamed visions, mundane talking, cheap living and dwarfed goals.

I no longer need preeminence, prosperity, position, promotion, plaudits, or popularity. I don't have to be right, first, tops, recognized, praised, regarded, or rewarded. I now live by faith, lean on His presence, walk by patience, lift by prayer, and labor by power.

My face is set, my gait is fast, my goal is heaven, my road is narrow, my way is rough, my companions few, my Guide reliable, my mission clear. I cannot be bought, compromised, detoured, lured away, turned back, deluded, or delayed. I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice, hesitate in the presence of the adversary, negotiate at the table of the enemy, ponder at the pool of popularity, or meander in the maze of mediocrity.

I won't give up, shut up, or let up until I have stayed up, stored up, prayed up, paid up, and preached up for the cause of Christ. I am a disciple of Jesus. I must go till He comes, give till I drop, preach till all know, and work till He stops me. And when He comes for His own, He will have no problem recognizing me… my banner will be clear!"

The Amazing Mandie Rudd

This is my dear Friend Mandie Rudd. If you have not been blessed by her presence I hope that you get that chance. Mandie is one of the most amazing girls that I know. She is SUCH an incredible example to everyone around her. She knows EXACTLY what to say to put a smile on your face :) She is THE BEST listener EVER! She will sit there patiently listening to what ever story I have to tell her even if I have previously told here the story a million times :) I have really enjoyed getting to know Mandie throughout these 6 blessed months here in Laie Hawaii. I knew we were meant to be friends right off the bat! Mandie and I just Clicked ( Two peas in a pod) I guess you could say :) The first day that we met she hopped in a Van that I was in, we were both going to a surprize party for our friend. She introduced herself and right away I knew that we would be friends! We gravitated towards eachother like Magnents! The first day that we hung out someone asked if we were sisters and it went on from there having many instances . ha Mandie and I went to food fest last week and we were asked SEVEN times if we were sisters or twins. ha one guy didnt believe and made us show him or I.D Cards :) I am really going to miss this girl. She has been such a influence for the good. Mandie is Patient, kind, caring, considerate and SO much more! She truly cares about everyone that she comes in contact with and always wants to know their stories. She always listens to what people have to say and wants to know more about them. She has been a tremendous part of my life and I know always will be. Mandie Rudd I love you and am going to miss you! Thank you for everything that you have done for me! Youre amazing! Love your soul sister ~ Kaitlin

Scripture reading at the temple :)

Sundays are my favorite day of the week! I love going to church and feeling the spirit that is present there. Today we had a wonderful lesson on good affective scripture study! We learned ways to relate to the scriptures and apply them into our daily lives. It was a great lesson and I learned a lot. After church I decided that I needed to go to the temple and read my scriptures. What a better place than the temple. There are no distractions such as electronics, other people…etc. All there was was the beautiful temple, my scriptures and my journal. It was such an amazing experience to sit there and feel of god's love that he had for me. I read in the book of Mormon first nephi chapter 10. It really is amazing how much you can learn from the scriptures if you have the right spirit and set of mind. I am so thankful that I have them in my life. They are an amazing tool and can unlock the power of heaven. A quotes that I absolutely loved from the lesson was this," I sometimes think that one of the best kept secrets of the kingdom is that the scriptures open the door to the receipt of revelation" McConkie." I love the scriptures and all that we can learn from them! I am so blessed! I love this church!

ULTIMATE!!!

Today was Ultimate Frisbee Day in " Fitness for Living", and me being the teachers aid of course meant that I taught the class :) ha Sister Chunn was not there in class today so I took over!! lol I ran to campus and made it there JUST in time! I then grabbed the equipment and headed to the little over to the old gym and got everything set up. As the students started piling in I took attendance. We first started with a Warm up lap! Then I did dynamic stretching with them. After that I split them up into partners and had them practice passing the Frisbee and then we made it a competition. The goal was to see who threw the Frisbee back and forth the farthest without dropping it!  After that I split them up into two groups and had one team put blue pennys on! Then let the game begin! They played Ultimate Frisbee for about a Half an hour! I just sat and watched :) I felt like a Physical Educator already! Well I would have to say that the Class was a Success! YAY for teaching!!
